I have a 2026 Toyota Corolla hybrid and I'm getting about 47 mpg in town. I haven't had it on the highway yet so can't give you any idea there.

Thats me. I have a 2024 toyota corolla cross xse all wheel drive hybrid. Before that I had a 2012 xle toyota camry hybrid. The Camry was my first venture into hybrid and I absolutely loved it for the gas mileage so was a no brainer to go hybrid again. This is my first time with AWD and I absolutely love it in the winter. Now I will only get a hybrid toyota with AWD. Also both cars are keyless so will only get that again too. Here is my new baby. I had to order it and wait a month summer of 2024 because I wanted this blue color plus all the features I wanted and leather seats again. Travel all over in this car and it drives like a dream. Before the camry I had a tiny ford focus I hated. Issues from day one brand new and I never felt safe in that car so no more compacts for me. Mary

Nice to meet other hybrid owners here. My camry we bought new in 2012 and never had an issue with the hybrid battery so I am expecting the same with the cross. To get such great gas mileage in a not so tiny car to me is awesome. My brother has the toyota grand hylander but he was afraid to get the hybrid version so spending a bundle on gas I bet as they use that car for traveling. Mary

Had a Hyundai once brand new and that was just as bad an experience as Ford. My friends with Kias are always having troubles. Mary

Oh I remembered Mary ( acraftylady) what you said of Kias when we had no choice the engine was going in our car. We could not even leave our city to travel anywhere. And being in Covid time we could not wait to order one. We only have one car. But luckily kia about a mile from us had some brand-new ones on the lot. with the body and inside looking like new despite being 8 yrs old. We got a good amount for it. Let them pay the to put in a new engine. Tires were brand new. We had our Kia since Aug of 22. And guess what no problems what so ever. You mention how they were lemons. Not ours. We do not like large cars. We are happy with what we have.

I would rather rent a car than buy a Kia after what I see friends go through with them. Friends bought toyotas here during the pandemic and found what they wanted on the lot so were lucky there were cars left. The toyota dealer by me is awesome. This is my 4th toyota from the same salesman. He went above and beyond to get me what I wanted at the price I could afford. Mary

I have a 2023 Electra and get the same miles per gallon. My husband keeps up on all maintenance work. He's a former auto tech and foreman.

You are lucky to have a husband that knows how to work on cars. My late husband was a teacher ans no one in the family is a mechanic and they don't live by me any way. Have 3 more years of toyota care and they have always treated me good so can't complain. Mary

He worked for Mercedes Benz for 40 yrs, - as a technician and then as a foreman. The only problem he really had was that MB used the metric system.

Acraftylady, you would rent a car at maybe 100 .00 a day for who knew how long, in the pandemic cars was unpredicable when it would be ready. Your area did not have anymore cars if any on the lot. No dealership did. My son before his promotion at where it works had to go to Hamburg, Grand Island a couple more around Buffalo to the dealerships We met him in Fredonia for lunch before he headed back home. He said no cars anywhere. My husband and I would go for walks to where most of the dealerships are here in my city. Since they are a mile from us. It was so weird seeing no cars and if you did it was used cars costing almost as much as a brand new one . All I can say we love our car. and we would buy another Kia. We buy what we like not by others opinion on things.

FYI - My son bought a KIA and absolutely loved it! The only reason he had to sell it was that he was contracted to work with the US Navy in Japan for three years.
