This is a vent. Why can’t people keep their thoughts to themselves if they’re going to be negative? Read a pin on Pinterest on why stitching is bad for you (I.e. sitting too long compresses spine, slows circulation to feet, etc). The only thing I can think of is that this person felt neglected as a child because his/her mother stitched. I have to stop reading Pinterest. This really irritated me. Thanks for letting me vent

I agree. There's enough negativity everywhere. Pinterest is supposed to be fun (though lately it's more ads and junk).

Just do like I do and get up every hour or so and walk a little. Take out the garbage, get the mail, etc.

Cathy, so get what you are saying. With current state of affairs in our world regardless of what arena it is in, I spend my time doing what I enjoy being around. My sewing, my puzzling, my reading and happy content on YouTube and TikTok. Anything else, I back out and move on.
"Your (not you Cathy) opinion does not negate my reality." Abbie Jean. Rspory/Rachel said it best. You do you, I'll do me.
Happy stitching. May you make LOTS of progress with your needle and thread this weekend.

I was on Pi Teresa for years. One day I decided, no more and closed my account. I actually don’t miss it.

People are entitled to their own opinions. We take what we want and ignore the rest.

As soon as they tried to make me create an account I left and haven't looked back. [Besides, all sorts of copyright violations all over the place.]

I think your quote would make a lovely cross stitch piece.

Thank you Jo.That quote came about after I was labeled by a fellow stitcher.
It works for me. Kind of in the "live and let live" camp so to speak. 🙂🙂🙂

A good vent! Hope it helps! Getting supportive positive feedback communication helps, especially with the way the stress is from world events. I made a point quite some time ago that if I could help someone in some small capacity each time I went out to go to the store, or help my neighbor or even a complete stranger. Yesterday I helped a stranger at the supermarket reach for a product on the top shelf because he couldn’t reach it ( he was short). Today I helped our young neighbor who had recent surgery be able to water her garden by turning on the hose and unzipping her small greenhouse.
My grandmother said, ‘If you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all.’
She meant that to include the written word.
