Bonjour13.1ºC ...it got quite warm yesterday ...loved it. I could be wearing dresses. I am so done with pants for the season.
Good day yesterday. I didn't practice all that much darts at home. I did get up to practice ...couldn't hit anything ...so I quit. I figured I would be practicing at darts in the evening. And I did shoot alright when we played last night. And darts were enjoyable last night.I went to puzzles with my two friends. That was a bit of a kerfuffle. We meet for 10:30 ...at Susan's ...in a retirement home. I got there at exactly 10:30. We have to sign in and I saw Kathy was not yet there. I went to Susan's unit and knocked. Nothing. I knocked again. Nothing. And one more time. Okay ...I must have missed something. I decide to go down to the lobby and wait for a while ...see if Kathy shows up. I waited 10 minutes and then decided to leave. I was at my car, unlocked it ...and there is Kathy just arriving. She said she had phoned Susan to tell her she was running late ...another kerfuffle ...she didn't get Susan ...she got Samantha ...Susan's daughter ...I have no idea how the phone number got mixed up. We went in ...and then we saw Susan. She had left her apartment for something ...and hadn't made it back for 10:30 when I came a-knocking. She was just heading back now. All worked out. We did almost no puzzling and gabbed a lot. Susan isn't really able to do puzzling after her stroke ...but we got together for several years ...2010 possible and we continue to meet.
I also stitched. I am so close to finishing this part of the tree skirt.
Today ...well I will practice darts, There is a fundraiser for Sue tomorrow to help raise $$ for her to go to Nationals in Quebec. I will be playing with Candy and Mark. It should be fun.
David will be putting things together today... starting to load up the truck. He leaves at 7 or so tomorrow morning. Heading to pick up Pete and his boat. And off they go for a fishing week. Pete stays two weeks. Larry will go for a few days. Fishing for pike and pickerel on Georgian Bay. About an hour's drive away. I will be home alone for the week.
I expect David will head into town one more time today ... gas ....snacks ...and who knows?
Have a wonderful day ...a great beginning for a long weekend ...certainly seeing it in the traffic as TO people head to cottages.
Ah it is almost 9 ...I was going to go to a local yard sale ...several vendors ...guess that ain't happening. I totally forgot until just now. Oh well. I used to be garage sale queen ...that stopped with COVID ...and I haven't gotten back into it.
Stephen's grandpa died this week. The funeral is today ...not local to us so we won't be going. Tiffany says they are expecting 250 - 300 people. That's a lot. A lot considering that many people he knew predeceased him.
Alright yakety-yak....time to get off the computer.
Wonder what supper will be??
