This happened to my husband and I . We went to Va and stayed at a Bed and Breakfast about 3 yrs ago. This was when we stopped in Ohio, various places in TN and VA. The band B the owner built the house like the one on the show Waltons. She had a designed inside just like the the show. The bedrooms was the girls, parents, Boys and the Grandparents. She even had some of the original items she found at auctions and ebay. We stayed for 3 nights because it was stay fro 2 get one free. Fuirst day when we arrived so didn't 3 other couples. I thought they were a group there togther but it wasn't Strangers we were. Two couples was only there for 1 night. The other couple and us was there for all 3. But the next morning you would think we knew each other forever. we did meet up with one of the couples that drove to VA from Texas. ( they are like my husband and I. we don;t fly). The other two lives in different areas in Va closer to NC, We saw one of the couples when we went to Williamsburgh last yr. Now in June the couple from Texas is driving to Pa and another from VA. The mother/daughter cannot make it. we are renting an AIRBNB . We already plan next yr. Going to Gatlinburg/ Pigeon Forge . Thy are truly best of friends. We keep in touch almost daily.by text. We all decided spur of a moment wanted to stay at this BNB. First time ever staying in one for us 4 couples.
Have any of you ever met lifetime friends at a spur of a trip. ? We have on cruises and still see some of them, Plus one couple who was vacationing the east side of Pa. To find out they live 20 min from my son. So when we visit my son either they come over to my sons. Or if they can't we stop off to their house before we head back to NY.

Met my best friend when seeing Donny and Marie Osmknd in concert. We clicked and connected right away. Still friends to this day, we text almost daily, call each other and talk for hours. Never had a fight or argument. When traveling we knew what we wanted to do together. Even going to restaurants was no problem.

Have known my best friend for 40yrs. We met at boces in high school taking food service together. My late husbands best friend was from school days also. Our best friends together is a couple my husband worked with. Been friends with them for 35yrs. Mary

When we first moved to Cali in 1964,one of the first people i met was my next door neighbor,she lived next door to our apartments and we met over the clotheslines,while hanging clothes,she had 6 little girls and we had our 4 kids,3 boys and a girl.We became fast friends,and have remained besties ever since.We've never in all these years had an argument,we've seen other through all life's cycles,the good the bad and the ugly.Our kids have always told everyone they were cousins,and still do.We still live just a few blocks from each other.She's moved a few times over the years,she went through a divorce,and we still remained friends with her and her x,and she stayed friends with him as well,but he passed away 4 years ago.Most of my friends i've had for many,many years,60 plus in some cases.
