Charles Craft Gold Standard is woven from 100% cotton yarn, produced especially for Aida. USA-made Gold Standard is up to 33% heavier than imported fabric, so it can be stitched without a hoop.
Packaged in a clear plastic tube, providing a convenient square shape for easier storage. Plastic tubes keep the fabric free of folds and creases and is great for storing projects and supplies.

Tea dyed, white, or black Monaco is a good option to have in my stash. It's a stiff fabric and it may not suit everyone, but I like using Monaco. I use it on any Stitching With the Housewives projects because it is the fabric called for in their charts. I use it for ornaments, tier tray displays. I may stitch ornaments for my trees and then after a couple of years I may change and stitch different ones. Monaco works great for those kinds of things.

First try with this fabric for my cross stitching and I must say that it works very well for me. I was afraid of the small size of the holes but whit good lighting it's perfect. The fabric is pretty stiff but as a stitch it gets softer.

This fabric is what I expected. I use it for a very specific application which has nothing to do with sewing! This fabric is used to protect a bass speaker from sound insulation in cabinets that I am restoring.

When you don't need something on linen, this is a nice, inexpensive substitute, that is nicer looking than aida, and perhaps a little more sturdy than linen too. I like Monaco, and especially like the price of it compared to linen.

When I saw that you had this in stock and for a great price, I ordered because there were rumors that it would not be produced in the future. I think that was for 'on the bolt' only. Anyway, love this fabric - the color is perfect. It is such a good weight, your needle will stay in a stitch even if you put the fabric down. For that reason, it is perfect for stitching 'in hand'. All of my primitive and whimsical charts will be stitched on this. Linen for BBD and samplers. Love it!

I just used Monaco for the first time, and I really like it for folk art style projects. The weight is good for holding in hand while stitching. The threads are easy to count.

I love this fabric! This was the first time ordering fabric from 123. I'd read in lots of other reviews that the fabric is edge-finished. This piece was not...maybe they don't do that any longer...? That's ok, because a quick run through my machine finished it off nicely so no threads will ravel in storage. Fast shipping too!
