The design is published as full-sized 8 page booklet, and includes the charts and finishing directions for four smalls. The original was worked on #32 R & R Linen (French Vanilla).

"Happiness begins with just one little stitch". The fall model was stitched on 32 count Ivory Lugana with Gentle Arts Sampler Threads (Antique Rose, Blackboard, Chives, Garden Gate, Rose Garden). The spring model was stitched on 32 count Water Lily Jobelan with Gentle Arts Sampler Threads (Blue Jay, Butternut Squash, Mountain Mist, Rhubarb, Sugarplum). The stitch count is 87W x 63H.
A sweet little sampler stitched in 1908. (This antique sampler was the inspiration for the Bluebirds of Happiness sampler.) It would make a lovely companion to that piece.
