The Blue Indigo cross stitch folk embroidery kit is inspired by vintage bags that were made in the 1920s in Greece and sold to fund relief efforts following the Lausanne population exchange of 1923. It features a stylized indigo floral spray, a plant prized for its rich blue dyes that has been used for millennia throughout the Mediterranean. Lined with coordinating Liberty Tana Lawn to create a unique and beautiful bag.
Kit includes: 30ct 100% European linen in Vanilla, Liberty Tana Lawn in Empress, DMC 100% cotton embroidery floss, John James size 24 needle, full color charts and instructions.
Finished size of bag: 8 x 10.5 inches
Finished size of embroidery (exclusive of finishing): 5.25 x 5.25 inches
Stitch count: 79 x 70 stitch area/2751 cross stitches/100 backstitches
