A fine "Z" twist spun silk that is 130/2. A favorite for fine hand embroidery and counted thread work. Sharon Schamber recommends this thread for piecing, hand applique and long-arm quilting machines. Does not add bulk to seams as silk thread compresses when ironed, cotton does not---a critical issue when working with fine points in piecing and machine applique. For hand applique Sharon prefers this thread as it is easy to use and disappears into the fabric. Packaged on a 100 meter spool.
