Box of Hearts is a fat quarter pattern with 4 sizes included. Easy block construction and no tricky seams to match make this a great pattern for a beginner ready to try diagonal seams and stitch and flip corners (with a fun trick included to make it easier!).
As noted on the back of the pattern, I recommend using a variety of light and dark prints as well as various shades of color (for example use a light pink and a dark pink, not all light pink). Since there is no background fabric or sashing between the blocks (yay!) don't be afraid to use some really light, low volume prints in addition to color/darker prints to help the blocks stand out.
