This handy 8.5" wide ruler helps you cut wider strips and squares, but also has all of the features you've come to love in the Creative Grids Rulers

Easy to read black and white markings printed in 1" grids marked in 1/8" and 1/4" increments.
Use the black numbers printed on white dots and 1/4" grip side to cut whole inches.
The 1/4" dashed lines that are printed on two adjoining sides, aid in trimming seam allowances.
Use the white and black 45 degree lines to trim half-square triangle blocks.
An additional black 45 degree line is placed so that two cross 1/4" away from the outside edge. Use these to square up flying geese units, squares set on point, and to mark crosshatching.
An additional 30/60 degree angled line also included.
