I gave this item 2 stars because the design is just so darn cute. I purchased 2 kits, one was a Christmas gift for our 10 year old granddaughter and one for me. The instructions are very clear, I especially appreciated the starting point being noted; however the instructions call for knotting your thread both when starting and stopping which experienced cross stitchers know can leave lumps under your finished piece. I found the Aida fabric to be very stiff and scratchy although I used it when stitching my piece. The floss included in the kit is awful. Our granddaughter had a horrible time with the floss shredding when trying to thread her needle. I got so frustrated with the floss myself that I did not use it, replaced it with DMC for both of us. Again, darling design, easy stitch, but the materials provided in the kit are awful.

I haven’t started this project yet. I have started teaching my granddaughter the basics of embroidery with a bunny kit I bought from you. It’s great for learning basic stitches and she’s very enthusiastic.

The Aida cloth is very stiff. The colored floss is dull and not a very good quality.

I liked the design a lot. However, I took exception to the instructions regarding making knots to begin and end each length of thread. The black thread in the kit I used seemed to be defective. I could not thread the needle with 3 strands of floss, or even 1 strand. I went out and bought DMC black floss and used 4 strands to complete the cross stitch a 1 strand for the backstitch to complete the project.

It has been a very long time since I cross-stitched, so I wanted to start off at the basics again. This was the first pattern I tried, and it was the PERFECT start. There was more than enough yarn to get me through all my little mistakes. The instructions were very clear and the pattern was easy to follow. Took me the one weekend to finish and came out great. Love it!
