Joan Elliott is my favorite designer. The patterns are simple and yet have the most beautiful color changes. She makes red thread look like red velvet. I will gift these for Christmas and I know my friends and family will be thrilled.

Firstly, I love the detail to these small angels. That's what attracted me in the first place. The charts are lovely large and easy to read. Each angel has an individual page on quality paper. However, there is one color key for all four patterns. I would prefer if each pattern had its own key. There are only approximately 25 DMC colors needed so it's not an overwhelming problem to pull them all to have on hand. I like that they can be sewn on either 14 or 28 count fabric.
