This piece was inspired by the wonderful children's book Goodnight Moon by Margaret Wise Brown. It was certainly one of my favorite books to read to Liz when she was a little girl and definitely one of her favorites as well!
Our model was stitched on 40-Count Fossil from Fox and Rabbit using one strand of Needlepoint Silk over two threads of linen. The many stars in this design are straight stitched. As are the moon's eyelashes. I've provided close-up illustrations on the chart page. I very purposely chose Fox and Rabbit's Fossil linen as it is a near-black color that is actually easy on a stitcher's eyes. The stitch count is 89 Wide by 97 High. Finished size is 4.45 in wide X 4.85 in high.
