This Mill Hill kit features a the Aurora Borealis over a tree dotted landscape. Kit Includes: Beads, JABC button, perforated paper/pvc, floss, needles, chart and instructions. Finished Size: 5.25" x 5.25".
While we still have kits in stock with Perforated Paper, newer Mill Hill kits are now being made with Perforated PVC. We were skeptical at first, but here's what our testing has revealed so far:
1. Perforated PVC looks and feels nearly identical to perforated paper, and nothing like plastic canvas. It's sturdy and easy to hold, and is slightly harder to bend.
2. Our needle and thread glide just as smoothly through the new PVC as they do through paper, and finished stitches on both materials look nearly identical.
3. The new PVC is some sturdy stuff. It's much harder to tear than the paper, so you can pull your threads as tight as you want without having to worry about deforming holes or ripping. We also expect the PVC to be more resistant to decay and yellowing.
All in all, while (like many in the community) we were originally hesitant about this change, our first impressions have been very positive.

I’ve seen the northern lights once, and hope to again. I may wait to stitch this kit, until it’s possible to substitute the glow-in-the dark beads Mill Hill is coming out with, for the included ones.

Another lovely Mill Hill design. Easy to stitch - clear instructions, areas that use one color. Some of the beads glow-in-the-dark giving this a beautiful and interesting final touch. Worked this is one week and bought the MH purple frame recommended. It will look nice on the wall.
