I recently purchased a pattern that uses Toho brand beads. They are kind of expensive and 123Stitch does not carry them. So I set about looking for a substitute. This is an exact match for Toho #22 or #22B (Silver Lined Topaz or Silver Lined Light Topaz).

Mill Hill 02011 Victorian Gold are such a shiny gold. Love the color. These are for a Mirabillia pattern and goes perfectly with the metallic gold thread I used.

I purchased these beads along with the petite ones, and although I did not like the petite ones, these are a little bigger and much easier to use. I had originally ordered one box of each and realized I would need more for my project, so I reorderd 5 more boxes of both the petite ones and this size. If I had known the petite ones are virtually unusable because of their size and inability to slide over any size needle, I would not have orderd more. But these? Definitely am very pleased with them and they're also a size that is easily accomodated to any needle you may have.

I love the beads for Mirabilia Designs but they are hard to find locally. The stores carry a limited amount so I'm glad I can usually find them at 123Stitch. They always ship them fast too. The ones that were on back order didn't take long to come in and ship.

There were a few beads that were clear instead of gold and a few misshapen. A 28 needle easily fit through the bead as well as a bead needle thinner with a much smaller eye and is harder to thread. They were easy to sew on my project and created a nice effect. The biggest complaint I have is that the packaging does not specify how many are in each package.
