While we still have kits in stock with Perforated Paper, newer Mill Hill kits are now being made with Perforated PVC. We were skeptical at first, but here's what our testing has revealed so far:
1. Perforated PVC looks and feels nearly identical to perforated paper, and nothing like plastic canvas. It's sturdy and easy to hold, and is slightly harder to bend.
2. Our needle and thread glide just as smoothly through the new PVC as they do through paper, and finished stitches on both materials look nearly identical.
3. The new PVC is some sturdy stuff. It's much harder to tear than the paper, so you can pull your threads as tight as you want without having to worry about deforming holes or ripping. We also expect the PVC to be more resistant to decay and yellowing.
All in all, while (like many in the community) we were originally hesitant about this change, our first impressions have been very positive.

Beautiful beaded cross stitch kit. I love monarch butterfly, it seems to be very real, and looks like it's going to fly off. I like the use of color, and the use of white as accents on its wings. All of the materials have been high quality. Will be my future project.

I have ordered many of the Mill Hill Kits. Most projects include a button which is a nice addition to the finished piece. It takes concentration, but every one of my finished and framed pieces are really nice.,

I have just finished this piece. Love it. The beading is beautiful! This was my fourth one completed and framed. I have 7 more to go. Really enjoy Mill Hill Bead Kits.

While I havent yet made this butterfly kit I did make the Ladybug Kit by Mill Hill And even thoughI haven done any cross-stitch in many years it still came out perfect. The directions are very easy to follow and the kit any supplies are well organized.

Haven't made this product yet. Love all of Mill Hill's Beaded Kits. They are packaged nicely and make it easy to do.

I love butterflies, this is a perfect picture to cross-stitch with beads. I also already have the Monarch Butterfly and plan to attach it to he corner of the frame.
