Cross stitch pattern from Modern Folkart Embroidery featuring a faithful reproduction of Antje Meester's sampler which she stitched at the Diaconia Orphanage in Amsterdam in 1785. The richly illustrated booklet tells the history of Antje and of the orphanage and has the pattern clearly outlined.

Stitched on 32ct linen (or 16ct Aida), it would measure approximately 8 5/8" by 10 7/8" (22 x 27cm). It has a total of 4583 crosses, and when worked with two pulled strands of floss over two on 32ct linen (or 16ct Aida), you would require approximately 3 to 4 skeins of floss. For this design, the creators allow you to pick any fabric and any thread you desire! For your convenience, we have picked the closest color matches to the picture of the design if you prefer the pattern as is. Stitch count: 171w x 138h.
