Mountain Horizon is inspired by the way the sun rises and falls over a mountain range and the resulting colors of the horizon. This is an intermediate pattern which requires sewing curves and working with bias edges. Blocks are traditionally pieced and paper templates for the curves are included. Sewing easy "sections' makes this quilt go very quickly. We used a 3 Sisters line called "Sister Lake" by Moda Fabrics but this quilt would look awesome in any fabric.
The lap quilts each measure 55" x 64" and use a Layer cake and yardage from Sweetfire Road's latest fabric line for Moda Fabrics called "Seaglass Summer". Either quilt would be a pretty addition to your coastal decor.

The block is called 'Lethas Electric Fan'but it reminds me of carousels and fairy floss from my youth. I hand pieces blocks but with good machine skills, you may choose this method. I added the borders by machine.
