This time of year generally calls for vampire bats, but let's not forget about their flying-fox- cousins, the fruit bats! Fruit bats love fruit (figs being a favorite), nectar, and flowers. The bats themselves were quite a challenge to design, but I really had fun with them!
The model was stitched on 36 ct. Saltbush by Fox and Rabbit with Weeks Dye Works, Classic Colorworks and DMC floss. Stitch Count: 54W x 91H. Finished size is 3 by 5.22.

I am going to stitch this adorable bats for my fall display. Tha reason for my decesion is because it looks not "halloweenish" primarily, but cute!
