This book of 16 stitched pages features a floral bouquet, twelve alphabets, and a page of numerals. The book is adapted from an antique "souvenir" book dated 1895. The original book cover is silk, and the pages are canvas stitched with wool threads. For my adaptation, I used linen for the pages and stitched with overdyed silk threads.
The model was stitched on 36-count Light Sand linen from Zweigart using overdyed silk thread from Hand Dyed Fibers. Recommended fabric size is 24.5" x 36". DMC substitutions are provided, but the chart recommends that you chose your own thread colors. Chart also calls for DMC Tatting Thread #80 Ecru and 51in of 13mm Thread Gatherer ribbon in color Belvedere.

Model in entirety was stitched on 16 Ct. Beige Congress Cloth using DMC floss. Stitch Count: 416 x 161 and the finished size is 26" x 10.06". Note from the designer: It started with the request to teach at Shepherd's Bush and the theme was garden. My brain went to our love of samplers and flowers. I envisioned alphabets dancing in the garden. There will be one for each season for a total of four different charts.
