Stitched on 18 ct Smoky Quartz from Fiber on a Whim using DMC and the Gentle Arts floss. Stitch count is 123 x 78 and the finished size is 6.83" x 4.33".
Inspiration for this design came from a vintage velvet tomato pincushion. Somehow that became two squirrels stitching under an acorn "bobbin" tree, an acorn basket and an acorn drum with the text "gather and stitch."

The model was stitched over 2 threads on 28 Ct. Water Lily linen with Weeks Dye Works, Classic Colorworks, and DMC floss. Stitch Count: 80W x 112H. Finished size: 5" x 7".
"Stitch by stitch row by row I'm gonna make my sampler grow. All it takes is a needle 'n' threads, Stitch it up in purple 'n' red." Tempting Tangles filled their sampler with all the goodies they love to use when creating their needlework, especially cross stitch. Have fun!!

I enjoy doing color experiments in my designs and this pattern is the result of one. Using the highly variegated Weeks Dye Works Bethlehem with one coordinating DMC for each circle, it is so fun to see how a solid color brings out the different shades that make up the variegated thread.
