I have used Monaco fabric by Chares Craft for years. I was very surprised at how stiff it was. I remember it being softer and more pliable.

This Monaco is pretty stiff, couldn’t get it in a hoop but works perfectly in my Q- snap frame. My stitches look so neat. Love it

Monaco has become an evenweave that I use frequently. Particularly when stitching Stitching With The Housewives Designs. Priscilla Blain has always recommended Monaco for her designs. I tried it and I like it very much. I have used black, white and tea dyed. However, it is very stiff. I a stitcher likes soft fabric it is not for them. Stitches look nice on Monaco and it does well when finishing. Works well for roundabouts and ornaments. I use a Bohin 28 needle when stitching on Monaco.

Tela de algodón también conocida como etamina o lugana de algodón. Aún no he bordado en ella la voy a teñir primero. La trama y urdimbre son muy uniformes creo que las cruces quedarán perfectas.

I love working with 100 cotton eveneweave. I prefer plain fabric because I don't want distractions from my stitching. I prefer to offset my stitching with the matting and frame.
