It can be used by itself in backstitching for beautiful blackwork-style stitching. Can be used as a carry-along thread to add highlights to knitting, weaving and crochet.
Available in basic colors plus glow-in-the-dark (F), hi lustre (HL), vintage or antiqued (V), and holographic (L). Available on 50 yard (45.7 meter) card or 50 meter (55 yard) spools.

I love the thread it makes my projects s0 prettyand sparkly but I do not like the cardboard bobbin, I have an entire bobbin in knots it is hard to keep it in order.

My headline just about says it all. I am working on the most challenging cross stitch so far for me. In this picture, one or two threads of blending filament is used with one standard DMC thread. The blending filament adds sparkle to the picture, in this case representing ocean waves. I love the effect. But the filament makes it somewhat difficult to pull threads through and sometimes snags. When that happens on the back of the piece I may miss it because I use a frame attached to a stand and don't turn it over except to end threads. So the blending filament has added to the challenge of this piece which is almost complete. I would use the blending filament again but do not recommend it for beginners. Wait until you have a bit of experience.

I love how this blending filament brings a subtle shine to my cross stitch pictures, it is a little hard to work with, but the end result is amazing.

This works well for blending with regular embroidery floss and is nicely reflective. It has a tendency to fray if you're not careful with it, but the spool comes with a lot, so there should be more than enough for your project.

I'm so happy that I found this site because it has items I need for patterns that I bought 10 years and can't find in any local stores. When I went to A.C Moore, Michael's and JoAnns fabrics, they looked at me like I had 3 heads on my shoulders and they had no idea what I was talking about. The Angel patterns that I'm working on require Pearl 032 blending filament and I used it on my first angel and it really makes the project look great. So much nicer than just plain thread. 123Stitch had everything I needed for my current needlework project. Thank you.
