Wake up snakes and bite a biscuit! I first heard this phrase from Teresa Lass, a stitcher who was sharing some funny western sayings from her family. With some further research I discovered that it was a commonly-used phrase by a "cookie" - a wagon train cook. Cowboy slang is an interesting and often humorous research topic! I was uncertain whether to include a comma after the word UP - are the sleepers the snakes, or are they supposed to wake up the snakes? I'll leave that up to you!

The model was stitched on 32 ct. linen using DMC floss. The stitch count is 120 x 119 and the finished size is 7.5" x 7.45".
