Note from the designer: There's something about a row of houses tucked up in the trees that makes me think of the new school year. Maybe it's all those years I walked to school down a tree-lined street with charming little brick houses. And that was a lot of years ago!

For this design I was thinking of cool walks on the beach and a chance to enjoy autumn at the shore. The design was inspired by postcards, and are even finished that way. I loved this classic fall design so much that I asked my model stitcher to stitch it in two different colors! The front cover photo (above) is the model in rust using Belle Soie Silk Floss, while the back cover model (below) is a deep dark chocolate color using Threadworx.
