This is the second set in the Samplings of Lace series. These are stitched in NPI silks, the same colors used in Seasons in Lace - Fall. Pattern is stitched on 36 ct Vintage Country Mocha from Zweigert. Stitch Count for 1 (mandala, grapes and acorns): 68 x 67 Stitch Count for 2 (other pillow): 55 x 55 Stitch Count for 3 (Strawberry): 140 x 67.
This sweet set of smalls, two pillows and a strawberry, are based on popular patterns, Seasons in Lace. The motifs are taken from those designs and expanded and changed to create smaller elements to fill your bowls or tiered trays.

Carolyn's Balloons - Spring is the third in this fun series featuring hot air balloons decorated with Quaker motifs. There is a sweet village below which changes with the seasons. Tiny butterflies and bees fill in the spaces in this delightful design.
Pattern is stitched on 46 ct using DMC, Weeks Dye Works, Classic Colorworks and The Gentle Arts floss. Stitch count is 100 x 132.
Note from designer "I have known since I started this Cottage series that my Summer design, the third in the series, would be based on beach cottages. The pretty blues and turquoises make me think of the Gulf of Mexico and the bright coral colors are the perfect contrast!"

Fall Cottages brings us to the last Cottage in this series and uses the warm browns and golds of late autumn, when the bright colors are almost gone. The squirrels are racing to fill up their bellies and nests with acorns and other goodies to help them get through the winter.
Winter Sunshine is a part of a series that has fun with mandala motifs acting as the "sun" in each design. Winter focuses on the whites, blues and grays of the winter season, with the swirls giving a blustery feel, blowing snowflakes through the air.
