This time of year generally calls for vampire bats, but let's not forget about their flying-fox- cousins, the fruit bats! Fruit bats love fruit (figs being a favorite), nectar, and flowers. The bats themselves were quite a challenge to design, but I really had fun with them!

The model was stitched on 32-count Natural Raw Linen Using Classic Color and DMC Floss. The stitch count is 195 x 195. Finished size 12.19" x 12.19", with three stitches between the blocks to stitch the complete series.
This Halloween piece features a collection of friendly ghosts floating through a moody garden! Although I chose to frame this piece it would also make a fantastic pin drum.
