This is a continuation of the "Going to" series with - Going to Market -I had this done last August but really wanted to save it for the Nashville Needlework Market.

Model stitched on 14 Ct or 28 Ct. Carolina linen by Charles Craft in "Sand" with DMC floss. Stitch Count: 72W x 72H for each side. Finished design size is 4.5" x 2". Color chart.
Model stitched on 20 count "Summer Khaki" cork linen by Zweigart using DMC floss. Stitch count is 188 x 90. Finished size: 13.5" x 6.5" [34 x 16.5 cm] on 14 count Aida or 19" x 9" [48 x 23 cm] on 20 count linen over two threads. The finished pillow is 21" x 11" [53 x 28 cm].
Note from designer: Isabella Hunter was born February 16, 1875 in Troon, Ayrshire, Scotland. There was a paper originally attached to the back of the sampler with the written words "Isa(bella) & Ma". This suggests that maybe Isa and her mother worked on this sampler together.

The stitching in this beautiful sampler with the sacred hearts includes the name Malvina Roisset and the date 1891. I think Marie Louise Malvina Roisset, who would have been 10 years old in 1891, could very well be the stitcher.
