When the traditional lyrics had me stumped for designs I decided to get creative and use the ultimate lord of Christmas- Santa, as my muse! You can see him leaping over a sleeping village as gifts and Christmas magic (represented by metallic thread) spill from his overflowing sack!
I've selected my favorite parts of an antique sampler in my collection and combined them to create this smaller adaptation. My favorite part is that thick border at the bottom!
Pattern is stitched on 36 count Affogato linen by Fiber on a Whim using DMC floss. Stitch Count: 170 wide x 104 high
