Cross stitch pattern from Modern Folk Embroidery featuring a design partly inspired by traditional Scottish samplers, using a line from the indian poet Kabir. "The river that flows in you also flows in me". The design has only full crosses and does not have any specialty stitches.
A design inspired by an 18th-century Scottish sampler. The chart comes with the main motif seen on the cover, but also with a bonus alphabet that can be stitched underneath the design. Patterns has full crosses mainly, with a few backstitches in the gentleman's hair.
This is a faithful period reproduction of an 18th century sampler from one of the Germanic countries or perhaps even the Netherlands (where it was purchased). The sampler shows various elongated motifs which might have been used as models for knitting.
