I bought these on a whim - a "gum in the checkout lane" kind of purchase... Boy oh boy, are these handy! They hold my fabric out of the way very securely, no slipping off or twisting. And, my hands don't get sore from holding gathered, bulky fabric. A perfect tool for every day use (or a lovely stocking stuffer!)

When I have a Cross stitch project which is large, the excess material is held up with the frame. It does not get as dirty and does not get caught on things.

I can see these working great for thread spools. They didn't work really good when there's allot of fabric on the sides. They kept falling off and didn't hold the fabric in place. Maybe if you combine it with a qsnap cover it would work well

I stitch in hand and do not enjoy using any type of hoop or Q-Snap. Instead, I wrap the part of my fabric I have completed around a piece of 3/4 inch PVC pipe. So far these hold it in place and I'm able to stitch with this method. I love the bright, cheerful colors, too.

Very useful for keeping thread from raveling. Works fairly good at holding fabric if fabric is not too thick.
