I often convert patterns calling for DMC to soie d'alger for 40 count linen because it's a little thicker than cotton thread and on 40 count linen with one thread, it provides better coverage. Great service from 123stitch on this purchase. I wanted a soie d'alger equivalent to a DMC colour and they picked this one out for me and sent me a picture so I can see the two side by side to see if I was happy with the colour.
