Note from the designer: Inspired by the warm carpets that would be found in ancient castles, this design is stitched, tapestry style, with the cross stitches covering the entire fabric. To emphasize its design as a rug, a fringe has been added at each end (instructions for fringe not included).
Notice the extra twist of the pattern, with the two ladies inverted, as in a playing card. One side up is a lady clad in brown, the other way up is a lady clad in aqua blue. Surrounding them is a really decorative motif, perfectly symetrical, somewhat recalling traditional Persian carpets, but actually a unique contemporary design. br>
