I have just gotten back into cross stitch, after 20 years. So I am not experienced, and have never used linen. They were out of the recommended linen, so 40 Count Sand Newcastle Linen was recommended. I was worried about not being able to work on linen, but it has been quite easy. It's harder to get used to, finding the holes, but it is doable. I will definitely be using this pattern again with different colors. The Midnight is pretty, but the colors are varied in each strand, so I'm not sure if it's supposed to look like that, but it's still pretty.

This is a very easy stitch. Love it at first site. This is one I will probably do more than once. Easy to change to your favorite color scheme.

I stitched this on 32ct linen over 2. It look a little over 3 skeins of the Midnight thread. Since this is a hand dyed thread I highly recommend you buy all skeins at once.
