Model stitched on 32 Ct. Lambswool using DMC & Classic Colorworks. Stitch Count: 72x88. Finished Size: 5" x 6" Button sold separately.

The "Santa's Village" series is a 12 part series. All of the designs have a suggested fabric of 32 count Lambswool Linen, and all measure the same size with a stitch count of 72w by 88h. This makes them about 4 1/2" by 5 1/2" on the 32 count fabric.

Each of the designs are perfect to stitch alone, but they are really special when stitched together. If you decide to stitch the entire village it will have a stitch count of 288w x 268h, which makes it about 18" x 16 3/4", so you will need a 24" square piece of 32 count fabric. Horizonatally, the designs flow one into the next without skipping any stitches. Vertically, in between the rows, you skip two stitches.

This is one of many village patterns I have ordered over the last couple of years. I am planning to make a counted cross stitch village tablecloth. It should be a very fun project.

I love Country Cottage designs! There isn’t any backstitching, so it’s simple and quick! There are only 2 dyes threads on the list, but it is fun to use other dyed threads in place of the dmc. I used Cupid in replace of the Dmc Christmas Red on the border. I also used mill hill petite white beads to replace some of the snowflakes and red glass beads (Mill Hill) to place on the present where there are holes and on the bag in the line.
