I didn't know about these newer colors (thought I had all DMC floss) until a chart called for one. Now I want to get them all. The colors are beautiful and none are like the ones you have in your DMC stash. This is "dark tin gray" and that it is.

I love DMC floss. It is soft and the array of colors are amazing. It is very easy to separate and use. I do not find that it knots up. I love working with DMC.

No matter what color of fancy floss you use, they take your projects to the next level by adding dimension and variations of color that you won't get from a solid color floss. If you want to make something stand out on your cross stitch piece, consider substituting a fancy floss, like Classic Colorworks for a called-for DMC floss.
