This has a good variegation! I was actually quite skeptical at first and now having used it I am quite impressed. This thread does have more variegation than Classic Colorworks or Week Dye Works. I would say that the DMC variations are great for borders!

I thought it was going to be some speciality thread, but it really is just like the old varigated thread DMC use to still does produce. Being it is DMC it was easy to work with. The color change is fun.
