from United States on 09/26/2017 - Keeps floss clean I used to wind my floss around the cardboard pieces which at the time was very useful. I decided to try these instead. You do have to use the stitchbow floss holders to enable them to be held in the inserts. Just attach no unwindingand slip into the insert. I'm using these for a specific project as I have a lot of colors 142 and unwinding and rewinding on the cards would take a lot of time. They have a spot on the holder you can slip the floss number wrapper onto so you know what number it is. I'm not using a binder but 2 single loose-leaf rounds to hold the sheets together. They lay pretty flat and keep the dust out. Pretty neat!
from United States on 03/27/2014 - Preferable to bobbins The binder inserts work well for organizing floss for large cross stitch projects. The stitch bows stay neatly in place inside the plastic pockets. A slip of paper with the chart symbol can be inserted in the pocket with the stitchbow.
