from United States on 07/27/2021 - good needlework tool I have stitched for about 50 years without using hoops or bars, but I tried these and I think I'm getting a slightly better result from the tension of having the work kept taut, and I find it's easier to manipulate the project. Note that these mini stretcher bars are a half inch wide. Edmunds also makes regular stretcher bars that are 3/4 inch wide. I bought a miscellany of both before I realized the difference, so I recommend buying one size or the other to mix according to your project size.
