These bars are perfect for mounting needlepoint canvases prior to stitching. The wood is soft so it's easy to tack the canvas to the bars without the use of a tool of any kind. Be sure to buy two sets of bars though, so you have all four sides of your canvas covered!

Ive gotten hooked on doing doodle canvases and these are perfect for that as well as for any small project. The minis are far easier to put together than the heavier version. You may have to fiddle to get the corners into true 90 degree angles, but they stay put once you mount the canvas.

I like to use stretcher bars for projects where the fabric is 11 inches or smaller...if the fabric is larger than that and I prefer a scroll frame. These mini stretcher bars work great for keeping small pieces of fabric tight, and then you don't have to iron out hoop marks.

Thanks to Danielle ie "Stitcherista" on floss tube I learned of these mini bars to use as a frame for cross stitching. They are lightweight and easy to put together and store very well. LOVE using these and will keep many sizes on hand. Great product.

AFTER SEEING OTHER CROSS-STITCHERS AT CELEBRATIONS THIS YEAR USING THESE MINI STRETCHER BARS INSTEAD OF EMBROIDERY HOOPS OR OTHER MEANS OF HOLDING THE FABRIC, I DECIDED TO TRY THEM. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO HOOPS, ETC. THE MINI STRETCHER BARS KEEP THE FABRIC IN PLACE WITH SPECIAL TACKS AND THE FRAME IS SO LIGHT WEIGHT AND COMFORTABLE THAT I NO LONGER GET HAND CRAMPS. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND CROSS STITCHERS, ETC. TRY THEM. KAREN
