The two eagles represent strength and protection. The pattern is called "Sentinels of '76." A sentinel is a guard or watchful protector. In this design, the eagles stand as symbolic guardians of the freedoms won in 1776 and carried forward today, as they stand guard of the flag, the heart, and the home.
