Note from the Designer: I just love finding and reproducing old samplers. This piece is an adaptation of an old, unfinished sampler belonging to Faye Hall. Faye has worked with me for many years. She loves old samplers as much as I do. We are always on the look out for another treasure. By loaning me her sampler, we were able to make this happen. You will find a picture in your design package showing the original piece. I took what was stitched and turned it into my own. The title ~ "Friendship Hath Flowers Of The Past", is original to the sampler. I made this into a sampler to celebrate a marriage, an anniversary, that special friend or just a way to honor someone you love. The dates could refer to the year you met, when you were married, etc. The date in the lower right corner is the date stitched on the original. The quote ~ "Love Be Thine Forever", was added by me.
Both Stitched on 30 count Putty by Weeks Dye Works. The stitch count for the sampler is 264 X 108, with a finished size of 17 1/2" X 7 1/4". The stitch count for the cupboard tuck is 123 X 26, with a finished size of 8" X 1 3/4".

This design is stitched on 40-Count Ancient Ruin from Fox and Rabbit with NPI silk floss. The stitch count is 158 x 175 and the finished size is 7.9" x 8.75".
