Museum textile archives are a veritable treasure trove of fascinating cultural tidbits, but not often in a form that is accessible or useful to the people that would most appreciate them. in 2017 I brought you an original sampler featuring Sumatran dragons and other Indonesian motifs from dozens of dilapidated stitched pieces. The Forests of Sumatra is a companion chart celebrating a wide diversity of trees and flowers from the same sources. It was released in Nashville 2018 for all stitchers who'd like to share in this tropical adventure.
