Cross stitch pattern from Jan Hicks Creates featuring an original sampler that started with the quote. The quote was built on, using traditional sampler motifs and decorative border designs, making this into a band sampler! "What is a home without a sampler"

The model is stitched on 40 ct Mayflower by Fox and Rabbit Designs using one strand of NPI silk floss over two linen threads. The called for flosses are 10 colors of NPI silk floss with a DMC conversion. Stitch count is 162w x 196h.

I’ve only finished a couple of samplers in my whole life. The quote is what attracted me to the pattern. And I feel the pattern is not overly crowded with extras. It is next on my list of needle work projects. I haven’t tried the silk thread but am looking forward to trying it.
