This assorted pack of 6 needles in 4 different lengths accommodates a variety of projects. All needles have a larger eye, making them easier to thread. Use with the Hidamari thread for Sashiko embroidery.
from United States on 09/02/2025 - Greater variety pack of needles! These needles are well-made and very strong. The pack came with four different lengths of needles. I didn't find the eye particularly large (a bit small for Olympus thread or standard embroidery thread), but it worked well with Hidamari sashiko thread.
Sashiko is a traditional Japanese stitching technique that was born in Northern area of Japan hundreds years ago. The ladies of farmer families stitched with cotton thread in order to retain heat well and to strengthen cotton/linen fabric.
This package contains two Sashiko needles: 1 15/16" and 2 5/8".
