I am an experienced cross stitcher but in some instances it was hard to see symbol when outline over the top. It would have been better to have one chart without backstitching and one with. I found it was better to couch some of the long stitches in actual cupcake to get proper effect and there were no instructions on best option. It is a pretty pattern but not for a beginner with the backstitch involved. I made mine into a book cover for my cake recipe folder. Think the chart would be clearer in black and white.
