I was introduced to this interesting little tool many years ago. I like it so much that I now have 3: 1 for when I iron and try to open seams; 1 that sits right next to the sewing machine for holding down the dratted 1/2 square triangle seams that want to fold over or the seam that wants to catch the machine foot; 1 for travel/class sewing. I have purachased several for friends that had never used or seen it before.
