from United States on 03/04/2025 - Beautiful kit for petit point This kit for petit point is very nicely done. The yarn/floss is organized and wrapped around the cardboard so it does not get tangled. Each color has the symbol from the chart right next to it, so it is easy to match and follow the chart. In addition, there is a hole punched in the cardboard so you can loop your length of waiting floss after separating the strands. There is also a slit, so you can wrap your unused yarn around if you like. The gridded fabric is stiff enough to not need a hoop, though you could use one if you choose. The grid makes it so easy to follow the chart and count stitches. However, at 25 ends per inch, I find a magnifying glass helpful, especially when working with colors that blend into the fabric color. The floss is a good quality, but if you are used to working with DMC, just know that it is a bit more grabby and not as slick. (Good yarn, but not quite the same as DMC.) This kit will require patience, as the stitches are quite small, but it is rewarding to watch the picture emerge as you stitch.
