Inspired by a drawing of a vintage apron, the reversible Chatterbox Apron features a sweetheart neckline and an umbrella hemline. The apron side panels are assembled first and inserted into the sides of the front panel and top-stitched in place. Pockets are located on each side panel. The neck strap opens and closes with Velcro. Use fabric ties or two-1 yd lengths of grosgrain ribbon for the apron strings. Decorate the apron center front and/or the pockets with appliques, monograms, or machine embroideries. Two-1 yd pieces of cotton fabric are required for this pattern, or just for fun, use a combination of coordinating fabrics for the neck trim and straps as well as the apron bodies.
