Needlepoint Silk is reeled, not spun, making the filaments longer and of higher quality. They manufacture their own silk, allowing them to maintain quality and insure availability. 5 meters, 8 ply.

Soie Gobelins is a 2-ply filament silk created originally for Gobelins tapestry repair. This glorious silk is a 2-ply filament twist which closely resembles hand-spun silk threads from the 17th century. Recommended for cross stitch on linen, canvaswork, embroidery, applique and needlelace. Packaged on a 50 meter spool.
